Science in the Fast Lane
A 2002, COPUS funded project using Motorway Service Areas as generic venues for targeting family audiences during school holidays.
We believe that the most effective way of reaching new audiences is to take science directly to them, in the places where they naturally congregate.
Science in the Fast Lane looked at the science encountered by travellers on the road.
Working with the Science Communication Unit (SCU) at UWE we performed tricks and demonstrations to raise awareness and enthusiasm for science. We also distributed free goodie bags full of tricks to do in the car.
