What does the STEM Hub Offer?

The STEM Ambassador Hub offers training packages to follow on from the STEM Induction process. We aim to run at least one session per school term. We currently offer:

Ambassador Development: Developing Activities – These sessions look at how to create activities to engage and inspire young people as well as covering the all important safeguarding and health & safety guidelines that you will have to follow when working with young people.

Ambassador Development: Communicating STEM – These sessions look at how we communicate STEM to young people as well as covering the all important safeguarding and health & safety guidelines that you will have to follow when working with young people.

People Like Me Training: Developed by WISE this training focuses on girls between 11-14 years and helping them understand their strengths and how they could be applied to careers in STEM.  This training is open to anyone, though the workshop that attendees would learn to deliver itself is aimed at girls.

Lego Mindstorm Robotics Training (Greater Bristol area only): We have 12 Lego Mindstorm kits at our offices in North Somerset, these are available to Ambassadors on a pick-up and drop-off basis (subject to availability) to run workshops with schools and youth groups. We run training session for Ambassadors who would be interested in learning how to use these kits and taking them out to events.

All of the above trainings can be delivered on a request basis to employers with a minimum of 10 STEM Ambassadors

Inspiring Young People into STEM – Online Training: This free package of online training runs on a rotation basis. You can pay an additional fee of £32 for anytime access, however it is freely available when accessed during the time restraints:
