Evaluation of EPSRC's Partnerships for Public Engagement (PPE) Scheme In late 2008 we were appointed to evaluate the EPSRC's Partnerships for Public Engagement (PPE) Grant Scheme. The PPE programme aims to foster engagement between the EPSRC funded research community and the public, in order to stimulate greater understanding about the issues and opportunities that arise from research. We were asked to evaluate the impact and efficacy of the PPE scheme and to make recommendations for improvement. During
the evaluation we posed a series of specific questions which were
addressed by a combination of desk research, facilitated discussions and
face-to-face and telephone interviews with members of the following
groups:
