evaluation and research evaluation of science year CD roms

Evaluation of a set of CD ROM based resources for schools produced by the Association for Science Education (ASE) during, and in association with, Science Year.

We evaluated the first three titles, “Who Am I?”, “Is There Life?” and “Can We; Should We?” which were distributed to schools by the ASE from September 2001.  Schools were obliged to register if they wished to receive further titles beyond the first two.  The CDs contained a diverse collection of resources, from ideas for assembles, hand outs and work sheets through to large scale interactive multi media exercises that could be run for three lesson periods across at least two days.

This evaluation looked at the initial uptake and success of these resources.
