Anne joined Graphic Science in September 2011 to manage the Gloucestershire STEM Ambassadors programme and schools advisory service. Anne’s role is to build relationships with schools and businesses to create opportunities for inspiring and encouraging young people’s interest in Science, technology, maths and engineering subjects and careers. Anne works closely with businesses visiting them regularly to recruit and train new ambassadors, provide support and ideas for schools engagement activities and managing networking events. Anne also visits secondary schools and works with teachers from Science, Maths and Technology to advise them on opportunities available to them, including; ambassador visits, company led schemes and enhancement and enrichment activities. Since joining Graphic science, Anne has hosted the first networking event for both teachers and ambassadors at Chosen Hill School and has kick started STEM clubs in schools that haven’t previously had clubs. Anne is currently working on a recruitment plan to increase the number of volunteer scientists in Gloucestershire including NHS ambassadors and sports science ambassadors from Gloucestershire University. Prior to joining Graphic Science, Anne worked for the Education Business Partnership in Bristol, facilitating school and business engagement, raising aspirations and improving employability skills with young people. Anne holds a BSC in Anthropology from Oxford Brookes University and a PGCE in Post-Compulsory Education from Bath Spa University. Contact Annet: +44 (0)1275 474 948 |
