Better Brains

Better Brains was a drama and facilitated discussion event designed to trigger debate into the ethics of brain enhancement.

We developed the drama in association with the University of the West of England, Bristol (UWE) and with the support of the British Council.

The drama consisted of a discussion between a mother and father, after the mother discovers that her husband has been medicating their child to improve his cognitive performance at school.

The event was piloted in Riga, Latvia during September 2007. Learning from this drama led to the development of the Smarter project.
