Engineering for Life Photography Competition
This competition, run in 2010, invited images which showcased the way in which developments in engineering have impacted quality of life from ensuring health and safety to increasing the ease with which we enjoy our lifestyles and enhancing sports performance. We asked entrants to look within their own lives and find out what the applications of engineering research means to them.Entries were invited across five categories:
- Most Creative Interpretation
- Best Technical Image
- Best Manipulated ImageWinners’ gallery
- Best Pic Taken on a Mobile Phone
- Under 16s
We received almost 100 entries from across the UK. The quality of the entries received were excellent and the explanations given, illustrated that entrants had really engaged with the subject.The winning images were displayed at an exhibition at Cardiff City Stadium on 29th November 2010.
The competition was run by the University of Cardiff and Graphic Science Ltd, with support from EPSRC.
